ACT Home Tutoring Agency has tutors who offer their experience in a wide range of subjects and skills.  If the area you require in not covered below or listed on the Subjects Offered page, please contact us to discuss further. SCHOOL BASED SUBJECTS Tutoring is most commonly provided for school aged students in subjects directly related to the curriculum.  HOMEWORK SUPPORT A student may need support in a range of classroom based subjects and in managing the work load and commitment required. A tutor will provide guidance in scheduling and time management as well as ensure that essential skills in presention, research, analysis of questions, report writing and essay structure.  LITERACY & NUMERACY Teachers and teaching students with training in Literacy and Numeracy are available to provide intensive extension or remedial tuition.  Teachers are available for tutoring in Reading, Writing, Spelling, Mathematical Operations, Times Tables and will work to ensure that the student is familiar with the tools and how to use them.  LANGUAGES Please check the complete list of languages currently available on the Subjects Offered page. Tutoring is designed to support languages being learned in a classroom situation.  If you require a person to teach a language from beginner level, please contact the Agency to discuss your specific requirements CORRESPONDENCE & DISTANCE EDUCATION COURSES Please contact the Agency if you require assistance with the subject matter in a distance Education, Correspondence or Web Based instruction course.  Tutors can also assist with Study Skills, Time Management, Exam and Essay Preparation.  EXAM PREPARATION & INVIGILATION Students requiring intensive support in revision and preparation for Exams at Secondary, Tertiary or other mature age courses are encouraged to contact the Agency.  These may include entrance exam and competency testing.  Distance and Correspondence courses may require an independent supervisor for testing events.  SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMS One day and extended programs for all ages are offered in Literacy and Numeracy Skills, Subject based activities, personal development and physical activities.  Please visit School Holiday Programs page for details.
