THE AGENCY OFFERS
Tutors are employed by ACT Home Tutoring Agency under a Workplace Agreement. In addition to an hourly rate for tutoring sessions, tutors receive a travel allowance based on postcode zones. Tutors are eligible for superannuation if they reach the minimum monthly threshold. The pay package available also includes a range of bonuses for loyalty to the Agency and client retention. Tutors are able to nominate their preferred times and locations for tutoring work. The scheduling of tutoring sessions is negotiated with the client. Tutors are protected by Agency policies relating to Occupational Health & Safety, Professional Service and Chargeable Hours. ACT Home Tutoring Agency aims to be the Agency of choice for tutors with
Requirements & Selection Criteria Tutors are required to
Expectations Tutors are expected to maintain channels of communication between the client and the Agency. This is done by standard monthly reporting procedures and by using phone and email. Tutors are expected to plan and manage the work undertaken with the student and maintain their record book. Application & Interview Tutors are required to participate in an interview and provide contact details for a minimum of two verbal referees. Once the interview and the corresponding paperwork is complete, the Agency may make the offer of students based on enquiries received. Conditions of Service The Agency provides a professional tutoring service supported by compliant and legal practices. Please check the Subjects offered page for a current list of subjects available. Tutors are sought for each of these subjects. Please also submit an application if you are able to tutor in a subject not listed The Agency issues vouchers to clients. A voucher is given to the tutor for each completed tutoring session.
